This classic vitola has long been my personal favorite size.  Some of my most memorable smoking experiences over the years have been with Cuban Corona Gorda cigars: Punch Punch, Hoyo de Monterrey Epi No. 1, and that magical Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 1that I smoked with George Brightman at Morton’s in Nashville (when you could still smoke there) back in the day.

Today, many people refer to a ‘Corona Gorda’ as a 6 x 50 or even a 6 x 52, but for me there is only one true Corona Gorda: the classic Cuban 5 5/8 x 46.  With the Four Kicks blend, this size lends more focus and intensity to the structure of the flavor profile, and for me, offers a bit more of a spice element, as well.  RATED ’91’ (“OUTSTANDING”) – Cigar Aficionado
